CSCA Symposium ‘Neural Basis of Consciousness’

On Friday June 26th, 2009, the Cognitive Science Center Amsterdam of the University of Amsterdam organises a Symposium chaired by visiting professor Christof Koch of the California Institute of Technology.

In this symposium, a number of prominent researchers will give presentations on their latest work within the general area of consciousness. Speakers include Christof Koch, Victor Lamme, Geraint Rees, Andreas Engel, Anil Seth, Petra Stoerig and Stephen Macknik. The presentations will cover a range of topics, both on the theory and methodology of consciousness research and on the most recent experimental research involving electrophysiological and brain imaging techniques. By way of closing the symposium, Christof Koch will give a commentary on the various lectures. Altogether, the symposium will offer a comprehensive overview of the frontiers in theoretical and experimental consciousness research.
